OUR PROCESS We begin by accessing your budget. From here our company will show you deck photos that fit that price. We usually recommend the largest deck you can afford. This allows you to decorate easily. Square foot pricing goes down as square footage increases. If you have and existing deck we usually recommend removing only the upper deck boards, keeping the original joist. Also, replacing the existing rails can make your deck look new.
OPTIONS
Lighting - Your new deck can be easily enhanced with led lighting. Lights can be different colors, dimmed, and controlled from your cell phone of remote. Seeing the lights on the deck from inside your home is great.
Wood – Local choices include cedar and southern pine. Cedar cost more but has a natural preservative. Southern pine has a man made process call pressure treated. There is also a choice between standard and premium. The later deck wood has less knots.
Staining – this process is used to further preserve the wood. It is only recommended after the wood has “dried out”. This takes about 6 months.
PRICING We charge by the square foot. Prices primarily have two parts….labor and material. Labor is about the same percentage as material. ...50/50. Prices fluctuate because wood prices change seasonally. . .
